Company Overview: Cape Honeybush Tea CC, was founded in 1998. From the very beginning, the company has been committed to the promotion and production of the finest Honeybush Tea. In the process, it has developed a fully automated production facility exclusively designed for processing Honeybush Tea. This state of the art facility is the only one of its kind in the world. As the result of an intensive research and development program, our processing methods have developed substantially over the past few years, guaranteeing a product of high and consistent quality. Organic certification through EcoCert for the plantations and the factory facilities was approved in 2015. The Cape Honeybush Tea Company also adheres to HACCP protocols (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, as laid down by the SABS legislation: SANS 10330: 2007). Cape Honeybush Tea products are only released after proper batch laboratory testing has taken place, externally through the PPECB (Perishable Products Export Control Board), Hearshaw & Kinnes for chemical analysis and Swift Silliker Laboratory for microbiological tests. The Cape Honeybush Tea Company is a fully vertically integrated enterprise. Each step in the process, from selecting superior plant material and operating extensive tea plantations to the processing and packaging of its tea, is incorporated under the umbrella of the Cape Honeybush Tea Company
